Identify theft is often defined as the fraudulent appropriation and use of someone's identifying or personal data or documents. Paul will provide valuable insights and information on the history of identify theft, recent high-profile identity theft incidents, business and technology strategies and tactics your firm can consider to reduce risks of identity theft, and finally, ways you can protect yourself from becoming a victim. Paul Rozek has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of information security, audit, and control. He is currently the Director of Technology Advisory Services with the Wisconsin offices of Jefferson Wells. Jefferson Wells provides internal auditing, technology consulting, tax, and finance/accounting services for companies of all sizes internationally. Paul was the Chief Information Security Officer for seven years with Metavante (M&I Data Services) and IT Audit Officer for ten years with the Marshall & Ilsley Corporation. He holds a Master’s degree in Project Management (MPM), is a member of ISACA, IIA, ISSA, Infragard, and other professional organizations, and is a regular presenter at local, regional, and international security and control conferences.
